n the wake of the upcoming Sea Games 2017, LeBLANC has initiated its support of the Malaysian cricket team by signing a three year contract in the amount of RM510,000. The contract, which runs from 2017 to 2019, was signed between LeBLANC and the governing body Malaysian Cricket Association through an initiated programme called High Performance Programme. Through this programme, the cricket team is driven and motivated to push further in achieving higher and greater heights than where they are now.
Currently ranked 23rd from the 49th spot by the world governing body International Cricket Council, the Malaysia’s national cricket team has shown potential in growth, which has prompted LeBLANC to play its part in supporting the growing game in Malaysia. Through this initiative, LeBLANC hoped to spread and create awareness of the ever growing sport, and paved ways for more corporate organisations to be involved in supporting such purpose.

During the press conference, LeBLANC’s Group Managing Director, Mr. Kuna Muno, expressed his delight and excitement in LeBLANC’s involvement by saying that it was a direction that LeBLANC had always wanted to take in supporting a cause that would assist in making an impact globally. In this case, the achievement and growth of Malaysia’s cricket team.
The afternoon ended with the signing of the contract between LeBLANC and Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA), followed by a mock cheque presentation given to MCA’s president, Mr. Mahinda Vallipuram, by LeBLANC’s president Dato’ Sohaimi Shahadan, and accompanied by Mr. Kuna Muno.
